Last 2nd June 2016, the qualifier for the Irish World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) took place at Palmerstown Stud Golf Course.
Some companies and businessmen participated in the WCGC Irish Qualifier. In a pleasant environment some Irish Companies have played for the title and for the opportunity to represent Ireland in so prestigious tournament as WCGC.
Patrick Prendergast and Daragh O’Brien from OBPA (O’Brien Prendergast & Associates) won the tournament with a total of 62 points and will now represent Ireland in the World Final in The Oitavos Dunes Golf Club in Cascais, Portugal, between 21st and 26th of June 2016.
The tournament as organised by MKPSE in partnership with Le Grand Club Ireland, and was supported by The Irish Golfer Magazine, Palmerstown Stud Golf Course and the sponsorship participation of KeySysTech, R1 Real Estate and DAPI.
“We are very happy with the sucess of our first WCGC tournament in Ireland. We have already started working on the qualifying event for 2017 and we are very excited with some news that we will share in the next weeks”, said Sandra Silva, CEO of MKPSE the Irish License holder for WCGC.
Using the words of happiness and proud, the winning team said “It is humbling to represent your country at any level, and Daragh and I will do our very best for Ireland and our new company O’Brien Prendergast & Associates»(Patrick), “To represent your country at this wonderful event is an honour and a privilege and is one Paddy and myself are honoured to be a part of.
