The World Corporate Golf Challenge are happy to announce that Bodegas Valduero will be Official Products at this year’s World Final in Sotogrande, Andalucia (Spain).

The history of Valduero is that of a family dream. D. Gregorio García Álvarez, an industrial engineer in love with the countryside and traditional agriculture, fixed his gaze in 1984 on the land around Gumiel de Mercado, situated 16km to the northeast of Aranda de Duero, in the heart of Ribera del Duero.

Valduero was one of the first wineries to be founded in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. When this regulatory body started, there were only half a dozen bottling wineries in the region, and although it was a winemaking region with a long tradition, recognised by wine connoisseurs for its high quality, it was generally unknown to the public.

Yolanda García Viadero – an agronomist with degrees in winemaking and viticulture and Carolina García Viadero – MBA from the University Pontificia de Comillas- the daughters of the founder, joined the family project, bringing with them to the business their agricultural and commercial knowledge.

ValdueroThe wines are kept and aged in the winery until the moment they acquire a roundness and harmony based on fullness. This is why Valduero has concentrated on the production of Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva wines.

Jose Guerra, Chairman of WCGC, said: “It is a great pleasure for us to have a partnership with Valduero Wines for this year’s World Final in Sotogrande, Cadiz, in (Andalucia) Spain. It is a natural alliance betwen one of the most prestigious wineries in Spain and one of  the first located in the famous Ribera del Duero region, that produce some of the world´s most exquisite wines. Made with great passion and dedication by the García Viadero family, I invite all of our participants and guests to taste this wines during the week.”
