LONDON, ENGLAND: The World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) has announced today that IMX, the Brazilian sports and entertainment agency, has agreed to become the country’s first license holder for the tournament. Brazilian companies will now be able to take part in national qualifiers of the WCGC with the winner going on to represent their country at the 2013 World Final.

The WCGC is one of the biggest corporate golf tournaments in the world. Since its inception in 1993, the event has grown to such an extent that over one million golfers have taken part in more than twenty countries. The WCGC culminates in a World Final event that will take place in 2013 at ‘The Carrick’ in Scotland, officially marking the 20thAnniversary of the tournament.

José Guerra, Chairman of the WCGC, said: “We are thrilled to be working with IMX and look forward to welcoming the winners of the Brazilian national event to the World Final for many years to come. IMX are the first South American licence holder and we anticipate that the success which results from this relationship will generate increased interest in the tournament throughout the continent.”
