OPET WCGC Turkey 2018 was organized by Matrix Travel between April 20st – 22nd in Turkish Golf Riviera, Belek.
Same as the previous year, OPET was the title sponsor and Regnum Carya Golf & SpaResort was the venue of the event. The two day tournament played on National GolfCourse.
Team Ekol Construction, represented by Erol Aktı and Sidar Yalçınkaya was the winner of OPET World Corporate Golf Challenge Turkey 2018 Final. The team succeded to pick 145 total points in two days.
Sarum Diamond Team represented by Hüseyin Demirağ & İsmail Erdoğan was placed second with 132 total points and Hasan Gülkaya & Ali Gong from Bony Socks Team were placed third row with 130 total points.
Team Ekol Construction will represent Turkey at the WCGC 2018 World Final, which will be held on Cascais between 20th June – 24th June.
The another excitement of the tournament was Hole in One award. Seiko Turkey sponsored the Hole in One Challenge with a premium watch. Unfortunately the watch will await to find its owner for the following tournaments.
As the Main Media Sponsor of the tournament, Bloomberg HT broadcasted and published the news from the tournament and many journalists executed interviews with the players beside. The press sponsor of the tournament was Türkiye’de veDünyada Golf magazine, which closely followed up the tournament over two days. Ruck & Maul which is one of the prestigious textile company, sponsored the uniform of the WCGC Turkey for 2018. All players were very picturesque with Ruck & Maul polo tshirts.
Same as previous year, WCGC Turkey arranged the charity campaign in association with
Turkey Spinal Cord Paralytics Association and supported the electric wheelchair campaign via the association.
As the Managing Director of the organizing company Matrix Travel, Yavuz Üngör stated his pleasure from the accomplishment of sixth year of tournament in Turkey. Mr. Üngör expressed his thanks all support of sponsorship companies and also participants at the OPET WCGC Turkey 2018 Final.
