The opening competition fully adopted the official competition formats of the WCGC World Finals and launched the exclusive Corporate Cup team format for the first time. A two-player lineup (one corporate executive, one distinguished guest) anchors the tournament. It creates a premium business platform, linking enterprises through golf and serving business elites across industries.
The opening event delivered a brilliant start to the 10th season and sounded the clarion call for Chinese corporate teams to compete on the global stage.
A Decade of Partnership: Guojiao 1573 Empowers WCGC Globalization
2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between Guojiao 1573 and the WCGC China Organizing Committee (DE Sports). As the core sponsor and driving force, Guojiao 1573 has helped WCGC China grow into an influential benchmark golf event within China’s entrepreneur community.
Over the past decade, the tournament has expanded to more than 60 cities at home and abroad, covering a total journey of over 600,000 kilometers, with nearly 300 sessions held and over 30,000 elite entrepreneurs participating. Mr Zhang Biao, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Luzhou Laojiao Sales Co., Ltd., stated, “From partnering with top-tier sports events including the FIFA World Cup, Australian Open and China Open, to ten years of deep engagement with WCGC, our brand has always stayed true to our original aspiration. We strive to let time-honored strong-aroma baijiu resonate with the times and connect with the world.”
Mr Zhang Liang, General Manager of Luzhou Laojiao Guojiao Liquor Sales Co., Ltd., added, “In the next decade, Guojiao 1573 will adhere to long-termism. We will take golf and baijiu as bridges, unite entrepreneurs across the nation and boost the global development of Chinese enterprises and domestic brands.”
Mr Winsen Qian, Chairman of WCGC China, remarked, “WCGC leverages golf as a bridge to connect entrepreneurs at home and abroad. It unites global Chinese business circles and empowers non-government sports exchanges to serve as a key driver of international friendship and cooperation.”
The successful holding of the event was strongly supported by our event partners, including Beachhead, DragonPass, HONMA and Master Mu Binglin Intangible Cultural Heritage Silverware. Collectively, all partners delivered a premier, world-class golf event for every participant.
