2024 World Final

28 Oct - 1 Nov, Haikou

WCGCFinal14_MG_3688WCGC – What does it feel like to be the first company from Sweden to win the title of 2014 WCGC World Corporate Champions?
Pyrit Project Management – It is a great honour to participate and win such a big event. We are very proud and delighted that we could bring the trophy to Sweden for the first (but hopefully not the last) time.

WCGC – What was it like to be representing Pyrit Project Management and Sweden on an international stage against nearly 30 other companies and countries?
PPM – It was a little bit nervous, we didn’t want to finish worse than the swedes before us, and we absolutely had to beat the Finnish and Danish team (Nordic competition!) . It was really nice to meet so many different nations with a common goal to enjoy business and golf!

WCGC – How did you qualify in order to represent Pyrit Project Management at the 2014 World Final?
PPM – The qualifying process at Pyrit Project Management was quite simple, “send the two we can spare”….or was it “send the two golfers we have”….who knows. The qualifying process started with a pre-qualifying. TopTee , Swedish WCGC license holders, arranged pre-qualifying at three courses in the summer 2013, the four best teams at each location continued to the next step, the national final. We came second at the preq-ualifying and won the national final and the rest is history.

WCGC – What did you think of the Host Venues and Destinations (NH Almenara Hotel, La Reserva Club de Golf, Andalucía, Cadiz and Sotogrande)?
PPM – We have been a few times before in Sotogrande and the neighbourhood and love the place. As most people know, the golf season in Sweden is quite short, therefore we must go abroad during off season to practice. Spain is one of the best choices for us and Andalucía especially, but the NH Almenara and La Reserva exceeded all our expectations. No doubt about it we will go back!

WCGC – Did the 2014 World Final and World Corporate Golf Challenge live up to your expectations both on and off the golf course?
PPM – Certainly it did, both on and off course, starting at arrival to NH Almenara and the warm welcome at the check in. La Reserva is one of the best courses we have ever played and the work all of you guys (and girls) in checkered pants did was amazing, it was almost “Tour like” to participate.

WCGC – Will you be looking to qualify and defend your title at the 2015 World Final?
PPM –Yes, especially now when we know what a good World Final that awaits, we will try with blood sweat and tears to qualify and defend our title.
