2024 World Final

28 Oct - 1 Nov, Haikou

The organizers of the World Corporate Golf Challenge, the world’s largest corporate golf event, are delighted to announce that Mateus will be an official sponsor of the final round of the 2021 WCGC World final. The competition is to be held in Cascais (at Oitavos Dunes golf course) between November 1-5.

Sogrape will be there with its globally renowned brand Mateus, an official tournament partner. The involvement has been possible thanks to the close relationship between these two entities, where Mateus has been present at the various world finals in Cascais over the years.

“It’s a perfect fit,” says Jose Guerra, WCGC Chairman, “Mateus, the world’s best-known rosé, with a leading sporting event that enthrals millions all around the world. Golf and wine offer an unbeatable combination of nature and sophistication. Both players and the public accompanying the tournament will have plenty of opportunities to taste these two brands, which are very different but both exceptionally good,” he adds.

About Mateus

Mateus was born in 1942 from the visionary idea of a man ahead of his time – Fernando Van Zeller Guedes, founder of Sogrape – who created a rosé wine launched in a bottle inspired by the canteens used by soldiers in the First World War.

From Portugal to the world, Mateus quickly became a world reference, based on the consistency of the quality of its wines. More than 75 years later, Mateus continues to believe in reinventing the rosé category, offering refreshing and fruity wines and promoting a variety of easy-to-drink experiences – Rosé all day.

With a presence in over 120 markets and 21,000,000 bottles sold annually, the brand seeks to attract new consumers around the world and make Mateus a love brand again!
