May 31 marks the end of the qualifying phase for the 2025 edition of the prestigious corporate golf circuit, in a special year for the Ponte de Lima region.
Axis Ponte de Lima golf course will host the third and final qualifier of the World Corporate Golf Challenge Portugal 2025 on May 31, closing this phase with distinction in yet another edition of the country’s leading corporate golf tournament.
This final qualifier takes place at a particularly symbolic time for the region, as Ponte de Lima celebrates 900 years as a town – one of Portugal’s oldest and most iconic. This historic milestone adds to the prestige of hosting the event in a setting that combines tradition, natural beauty, and sporting excellence. This decisive qualifier will be marked by high-level competition, networking among business decision-makers, and exclusive experiences provided by the sponsors, with special emphasis on LG Portugal, the official sponsor of this final qualifier.

LG’s presence at the WCGC Portugal 2025 is part of a clear strategy to get closer to the corporate audience, particularly in the context of launching its new built-in kitchen appliance range – a strategic focus for the brand in 2025. According to Tiago Jesus, Built-In Business Development Manager at LG Portugal: “LG’s connection to golf is both natural and strategic – it’s a privileged space for networking and fits perfectly with our goal of engaging more closely with the corporate world. Our presence in less obvious contexts like this strengthens our identity and reflects the Life’s Good philosophy, which is more than a slogan: it’s a way of life.”
For the third qualifier of the WCGC Portugal by LG, the brand aims to “offer participants a true brand experience, showcasing the new built-in appliance range in a sensory and immersive way. We will also have attractive prizes for the winning pairs, such as LG monitors, portable speakers, and culinary-themed gifts.” With the unique landscape of the Minho region and the historic atmosphere of Ponte de Lima, celebrating its 900th anniversary, the final stage of the WCGC Portugal promises to be a memorable one. The five pairs qualified from this stage, along with those ranked through the points system, will have the opportunity to compete in the national grand final and vie for a spot in the world final, which this year returns to China, with Shanghai – one of Asia’s and the world’s leading financial centers – as the host city.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge Portugal continues to establish itself as a strategic meeting point between sport, business, and leading brands.
