Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority will host the UAE WCGC at Al Hamra Golf Club. This is the largest Corporate Golf Event Globally with the Winners representing the UAE at the World Final in Cascais, Portugal, from 21st to 26th June 2016.

Al Hamra Golf Club’s Par 72 Championship course lends itself perfectly to all levels of golfers, providing the fledging novice or the most accomplished of players with an enjoyable and interesting golfing challenge. This 18 hole course meanders around four inter-connected open water lagoons merging seamless with water of the Arabian Gulf.

The World Final in 2015 saw the first UAE team to qualify, with David Minchin and Chris Darnely. Despite only scoring 2 points on as many as 6 different holes, the pair were able to muster a creditable score of 59 points to win by 3 points and set off to the final in Portugal.

The overall winners of this years UAE final will win a fantastic prize of the trip to Portugal in June. In addition to this, players will have the opportunity to win a hole in one prize of a BMW car courtesy of AGMC. There will also be plenty of other gifts and OnCourse prizes courtesy of our sponsors Fine & Country Golf, Daman Investments, TaylorMade, Palmers, Harradine Golf, Rhode Island sports wear and event organisers OnCourse Golf.

Steve Rutter CEO of OnCourse Golf said “The World Corporate Golf Challenge is reputed as being the largest golf event in the world and it gives me great pleasure to work with the RAK Tourist Development Authority in bringing the UAE qualifier for the event to RAK and Al Hamra golf club being held on the 13th of May.

Working closely with the RAK Tourist Development Authority and Al Hamra golf club and also the Double Tree Hilton Hotel, this will be one of the largest corporate events on the UAE calendar.
The winners of this event will be flown compliments of Qantas in business class via London to Cascais in Portugal where they will participate in the world final playing against over 50 countries from around the world. Not only will they represent the companies they are working for but they will also represent the UAE, which is a great honour.
