The WCGC is pleased to welcome Matrix Travel to the WCGC network. Matrix Travel has become the WCGC license holder in Turkey, granting them exclusive rights to run WCGC events in the territory. Founded in 2000, Matrix Travel is a travel agency which operates domestic and international services in various branches of tourism.
While becoming a license holder in the WCGC represents their initial foray into running a corporate golf event, Matrix Travel organized tournaments and Pro Ams before, as well as co-sponsoring the Ladies European Tour in Turkey. The year ahead will allow the Matrix Travel to establish the WCGC in Turkey ahead of the National Final, likely to be held in March 2013.
Bringing national events to Turkey is a terrific opportunity for the WCGC due to the burgeoning golf market and the growing corporate culture. Leyla Ürünsak of Matrix Travel echoed the sentiments of the WCGC when she said, “We are excited to be on board with the WCGC, and we are very much looking forward to the year ahead.”
