This year, the new Sports Legends format will help to raise funds for Scholas Ocurrentes, helping them to achieve their international programs.

2013 saw the successful introduction of the now annual Corporate Cup. Over the years, teams have been captained by Ryder Cup Legends including Tony Jacklin CBE, Manuel Pinero, Ronan Rafferty and Eddie Polland; and Portuguese national football team goalkeeper Ricardo Pereira. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Corporate Golf Challenge, in 2018, the concept evolves towards the new Sports Legends format.

Two teams captained by two sports legends will compete in order to raise funds for Scholas Ocurrentes, helping them to achieve their international programs. Driven by Pope Francisco, Scholas is an international organization of public good profit that works with schools and educational communities both public and private, of all religious and secular confessions to restore the educational pact. As an organization of civil society, seeks the commitment of all stakeholders to implement the culture of the meeting for peace through education.

Scholas Occurrentes is an initiative aimed at young people in the world that has its origin in the City of Buenos Aires in 2001 when Jorge Bergoglio was Archbishop under the name of “Escuela de Vecinos” and “Sister Schools” integrating public school students and private, of all religions in order to educate young people in the commitment for the common good.

They have physical offices in Argentina, Spain, Paraguay, Mozambique, Vatican City and work together, through our partner networks, with 190 countries of the 5 continents, connecting 445,981 public and private schools and educational networks.

“Golf with values”

World Corporate Golf Challenge and Scholas will develop together a new program called GolfVal ( “Golf with values”), to add to the already implemented FutVal and BoxVal Programs – helping each other to internationalize the visibility of the organization.

The essence of sport teaches to relate and work as a team, to prioritize the common good over their own. It seeks to harmonize the development of children living in contexts of vulnerability and to involve them with the reality of their communities.
