The first ever WCGC qualifier launched in Denmark took place in Copenhagen on Tuesday 26th April 2016. 64 business related people showed up on a sunny but windy spring morning. Lots of smiling faces started the day full of expectation, looking forward to a day of business networking and golf.
The first 9 holes were completed by the whole field, before spring decided to turn into winter. The sunny morning changed into heavy rain and even snow! Some gave up, but the majority stayed out on course to finish the first WCGC Denmark 2016.
The winning team consisting of Jon Walther Jensen and Philip Nygaard had a total of 62 point. Former footballer Michael Johansen and actor Lars Ranthe were runner-up with 61 points.
A great thanks to Royal Golf Club for an outstanding day, thanks to Cross for sponsoring the team uniform for the World Final in Cascias. Denmark will be well prepared and looking forward to meeting the rest of the business world at the WCGC World Final Final in Cascais, Portugal frm the 21st – 26th June 2016.
