The first season of WCGC Chile will start with one event held in Hacienda Santa Martina in September, becoming the National Final. There will be 72 teams of 3 players. The best team will qualify for the World Final to be held in Tenerife (Spain) in October 2022.
For the year 2023, the event will expand to regions, having regional classification and then National Final to win the spot for the World Final.
The World Corporate Golf Challenge represents one of the largest corporate golf tournaments in the world. Since its inception in 1993, WCGC has grown to such an extent that more than one million golfers have participated from over fifty countries.
Alejandro Peric from WCGC Chile, said: “We are happy to incorporate Chile into such a prestigious world golf tournament for companies.
In recent years, golf in our country has been developing strongly thanks to great stars such as Joaquín Niemann and Mito Pereira and with major events such as the PGA Korn Ferry Tour’s Chile Classic, which we have had the honour of organizing four years.
We hope in the not so distant future, to also host the WCGC World Final”.
