Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club, Beijing, China

The following Terms of the Competition and any Local Rules published by the Committee apply to the “WORLD CORPORATE GOLF CHALLENGE 2026” World Final, played under the Rules of Golf approved by R&A Rules Limited.

Participation in the World Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge implies acceptance of the conditions of participation established by the organisation and those set out in these Terms of the Competition.

Terms of Competition

1. Eligibility

Teams of two players qualified through the national World Corporate Golf Challenge competitions.

All players must hold and present an updated handicap certificate issued by the Handicap Committee of their home club, recognised by the International Golf Federation.

2. Format

Venue and date

Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club (Chaoyang Course – Course A), Beijing, China.

  • 21st October: shotgun start at 08:30am.
  • 22nd October: tee times from 07:30 to 09:30am, from Tee 1 and Tee 10

Categories

  • Handicap Division
  • Scratch Division – recognising the team with the lowest gross score (without handicap adjustment)

Form of play / Number of holes

  • 21st October: Four-Ball Better Ball, 18 holes, Stableford Net
  • 22nd October: Greensomes, 18 holes, Stableford Net

“Four-Ball Better Ball” is a 2-person Best Ball (also known as Four-Ball), where each player plays his or her ball throughout the round, and the higher points count as the team score on each hole.

“Greensomes” is a type of golf format played in teams of two. Both players tee off on every hole. The team chooses which of the two tee shots they want to use. The player whose tee shot was not chosen plays the second shot. From then on, the players alternate shots until the ball is holed. The team records one score per hole.

Handicap

The team’s playing handicap is ¾ of the team’s course handicap.

The maximum playing course handicap is 24 for men and 30 for ladies.

The WHS handicap considered for each player is the lower of: the handicap on the first day of the competition, or the handicap (WHS or similar) used in the respective national final.

The Committee has the right, after analysing the player’s handicap certificate, to change the individual handicap or the team handicap.

Tees

Men – Blue tees / Ladies – Red tees

Draw

The draw will be announced:

Prizes

Handicap Category (Net scores): 1st Team, 2nd Team, 3rd Team

Scratch Category: 1st Team, 2nd Team, 3rd Team

  • Nearest to the Pin (TBC)
  • Longest Drive (TBC)
  • Hole in One (TBC)

3. Scores Recording Area and Scorecards

The Scores Recording Area and the official competition board will be located at the WCGC Desk at Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club.

At the end of each round, at least one of the players from each pair must go to the Scores Recording Area to confirm scores, sign the scorecards and report any occurrences.

The team’s scorecard is officially handed to the Committee when the team’s representative leaves the Scores Recording Area with both feet.

The time per round is defined in a specific document delivered with the scorecard. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has this information about the pace of play.

Arriving at the Scores Recording Area 20 minutes after the deadline without a reasonable justification (other than one’s own slow play) implies the subtraction of 2 Stableford points. Each additional period of 10 minutes implies a deduction of 1 Stableford point.

This penalty does not invalidate slow-play penalties under the Local Rules.

When it is not possible to score, it is recommended that the player pick up the ball.

4. Decision of Ties

In the event of a tie, in both divisions, the winning pair will be decided by a sudden-death playoff. The Committee will decide which holes are played, and the team with the most Stableford net points will be declared the winner.

In the Handicap Division, handicap strokes must be applied during playoff holes as they were considered for the competition, using the “stroke index” assignment.

In the event of a tie, the teams will continue playing on the same basis until a winner is found. The team playing first will be decided by lot in a manner stipulated by the Technical Committee.

If, for any reason, it is not possible to play the playoff, the tie will be resolved in favour of the lowest playing handicap. If the tie persists, it will be decided on the average of the players’ WHS handicaps. If the tie persists, it will be resolved in favour of the team with the player with the lowest WHS handicap. The same system will apply to the tiebreakers for second and third places.

5. Results of the Competition – Competition Closed

When the results are posted on the competition board, the competition’s results are officially announced, and the competition is closed.

6. Rules, Committees and Referees

  • Rules: those approved by R&A Rules Limited, the conditions defined in these Terms of the Competition, and the Local Rules defined by the Committee.
  • Clubs and balls: the clubs and balls used must comply with the lists approved by the R&A and USGA (available online at www.randa.org or www.usga.org).
  • Buggies and caddies are allowed on the practice day and on both World Final competition days.
  • Committee and referees will be appointed in due course by the Organiser.

7. Dress Code

All players must wear the uniforms provided by the WCGC licensee of each country; polos must include the World Corporate Golf Challenge logo and the “Road to Beijing” logo. Both team members must wear trousers of the same colour. Shorts or Bermudas are not allowed.

8. Organisation

World Corporate Golf Challenge

The Organiser’s and Committee’s goal is to complete the competition as defined in these Terms of the Competition. The Committee reserves the right to change these Terms of the Competition at any time. The decision of the Committee is final in all matters.
