For the fourth consecutive year, the WCGC has chosen Madeira as the qualifier for one of the national circuit events, reinforcing the region’s importance in the corporate golf landscape in Portugal. This continuity highlights the success of previous editions and the strong participation of companies and players in the competition.
Santo da Serra Golf Club, located on the island of Madeira, has recently reaffirmed its prominent international standing by winning the prestigious “World’s Best Par 3 Hole” award at the World Golf Awards. This distinction underscores the excellence of the course, particularly its iconic par 3 hole, which had already received the same title in 2024, standing out for its quality, level of challenge, and unique scenic setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This recognition helps position Madeira as one of the world’s leading golf destinations. The Madeira qualifier will play a decisive role in determining the finalist teams, ensuring the qualification of four teams from Madeira for the National Final, which will take place on July 3 in Óbidos.
The event will also feature the special presence of Fidel Alonso, who will participate as an ambassador of the Sports Legends Cup, bringing additional prestige to the competition and providing a unique experience for participants.
Also noteworthy is the institutional and strategic support of the Associação de Promoção da Madeira and the Madeira Golf Passport, partners of this qualifier, who thus reinforce their continued commitment to golf as a tourism product of excellence and a driver of international attraction for the region.
