Las Terrazas hotel of Abama Suites, which manages My Way Meaningful Hotels, hosted last night, Tuesday, October 18, the welcome cocktail that served as the kick-off to the Sports Legends Cup, which will take place between today, October 19, and tomorrow, October 20, at the Abama Golf course. In parallel to the world final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC), the largest corporate tournament in the world, with which it shares organisation.
The Sports Legends Cup is an “invitation-only” event in which participating golfers have the unique opportunity to play on one of the best courses in the world, Abama Golf, in front of great legends of the international sport.
The team of legends will have this year 16 names recognised as those of the footballers Carlos Santillana, Nuno Valiente, Carlos Xavier, Jim Barron, Steve Staunton, Isidoro San José, or Uli Stielike; as well as those of other significant figures of the sport, such as the Northern Irish golfer of international renown, four-time European Tour champion, Eddie Polland, the tennis player Pato Clavet, the volleyball player Giovane Gavio, or the former NFL football player Ryan Picket, among others.
The cocktail, offered by Abama Luxury Residences, the real estate division of the exclusive Tenerife resort, served to bring together these significant figures on a festive day, before the start of the tournament, along with other VIP guests, institutional representatives and the media from around the world, in this sporting event that Turismo de Tenerife has promoted.
