Last Tuesday, Galería Canalejas hosted the official launch event for the circuit, attended by the sponsors of the world’s most important corporate golf tournament.
On Tuesday 14 July, the Expansión World Corporate Golf Challenge Spain 2026 held the official launch event for its new season at Galería Canalejas, a gathering that brought together the circuit’s partners and sponsors to unveil the tournament calendar, the new features of this year’s edition and the run-up to the World Final, which will take place in October in Beijing, China.
The event served as a showcase to present the brands and companies that will be supporting the tour throughout 2026, reinforcing the position of the Expansión WCGC Spain as one of the leading events for corporate golf and high-level business networking in our country.
Unidad Editorial is once again on board as Media Partner for this edition, whilst Galería Canalejas is participating as a Supporting Partner, the venue where the presentation took place. The Costa del Sol joins as the circuit’s Host Region, with Empordà, Chaparral Golf Club and Golf Santander & Sports serving as Host Venues for the qualifying rounds.
Among the official sponsors, Polestar stands out, joining the tournament as the Official Car, alongside Catenon, CAPZA and Afullpro, who are participating as Supporting Partners.
The 19th Hole Club hospitality area, one of the event’s major attractions for networking amongst participants, will this season feature Ron Matusalem, Montaraz, CLOS CIEN, GARDA, Natura Bissé, Roche Bobois, Tabacalera, Oli de Ventalló, Helado Badiani, Anec Empordà, Mas Casas Cruilles and Can Bech – brands that will add their own distinctive touch to the premium experience surrounding each event on the circuit.
A season comprising three qualifying rounds, a National Final and a World Final
The Expansión World Corporate Golf Challenge Spain 2026 will consist of three qualifying tournaments at various venues across the country, a National Final and the eagerly awaited World Final, in which the winning team will represent Spain against more than 30 countries.
The national circuit kicks off on the Costa Brava, with a round at Golf Empordà on 25 July; it continues at El Chaparral on the Costa del Sol on 15 August; and the qualifying phase concludes in Madrid, at the Golf Santander & Sports course, on 8 September. The tournaments are played in a Stableford best-ball pairs format and feature complementary activities designed to encourage networking between companies, including events for non-golfers and the exclusive 19th Hole Club hospitality area.
The top teams from each venue will qualify for the National Final of the Expansión World Corporate Golf Challenge Spain 2026, which will take place on 22 and 23 September at the Real Club de Campo de Málaga and the Parador de Málaga Golf, and which this year will coincide with the Sport Legends Cup, a parallel event bringing together sporting legends and representatives from the business world for a day of competition, networking and high-calibre entertainment.
The Road to the World Final in Beijing
The national circuit champions will travel to China to represent Spain at the 2026 World Corporate Golf Challenge World Final, which will be held in Beijing in October and will bring together business delegations from over 30 countries at the world’s largest corporate golf tournament. The organisers will cover the winning team’s flight costs, accommodation at the destination, transfers and attendance at official events.
Since its inception in 1993 in the United Kingdom by The Times, the World Corporate Golf Challenge has established itself as the global platform that turns golf into a tool for business networking; it is now present in more than 30 countries and has attracted over a million players throughout its more than three decades of history.
