Madrid at the WCGC World Final: Premium Partner in Beijing

WCGC 2026 World Final Beijing – Madrid Unique Destination presentation at the Madrid – Beijing Business Forum

Madrid at the WCGC World Final 2026 was one of the most visible stories of the week. As Premium Partner of the Guojiao 1573 World Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC), the Spanish capital brought its hospitality, its business network and its image to Beijing, where national champions from across the WCGC community gathered from 19 to 23 October.

Madrid at the WCGC World Final as Premium Partner

The 2026 World Final brought together competitors, guests, licensees and sponsors at Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club and the NUO Hotel Beijing. Within the official partner structure, Madrid stood as Premium Partner, a place shared with few other organisations in the event.

The partnership reflects a simple idea: corporate golf is a meeting point for decision-makers, and Madrid is a city built to receive them. For a global audience of executives and entrepreneurs, the WCGC World Final offered a direct way to meet that city.

Madrid across the programme

Madrid’s presence was not limited to a logo. It ran through the event as a series of moments designed for networking and conversation:

  • Welcome Cocktail and Gala Dinner: a Madrid video and a short address introduced the destination to the full delegation.
  • Madrid – Beijing Business Forum: an informal setting for partners, licensees and guests to meet and exchange ideas.
  • Legends Dinner with Madrid: an evening alongside the Sports Legends community, hosted in the spirit of the Spanish capital.
  • Executive Partners Meeting: Madrid took part in the meeting where WCGC’s national partners align for the season ahead.
  • Madrid photocall and on-course branding: a photocall featuring the Royal Palace and the Royal Carriage, and Madrid branding in the official City of Madrid blue, gave guests a place to photograph the city’s image in Beijing.

A destination for business and golf

Madrid’s proposal went beyond the tournament week. The partnership connects the destination with the WCGC licensee network, present in more than 30 countries, so that each national chapter can discover what Madrid offers business travellers: world-class hospitality, gastronomy, culture, shopping and an international airport hub.

The Madrid – Beijing Business Forum added a further dimension, placing the capital in dialogue with the host country of the World Final and with the executives who made the journey to Beijing.

Madrid companies also took part in the forum, presenting their offer directly to the WCGC delegation:

  • El Corte Inglés: Spain’s leading department store group, a reference for shopping, gastronomy and services for international visitors in Madrid.
  • Complejo El Olivar: an event venue 25 minutes from Madrid’s city centre and 15 minutes from Madrid-Barajas airport, with capacity for more than 4,000 guests for conferences, gala dinners and incentive events.
  • Parafina: the Spanish sustainable eyewear brand, which makes its sunglasses from recycled and natural materials.

Madrid, a city for every season

One of the messages Madrid shared with the WCGC community is that the city is a destination all year round. Spring brings the Book Fair and the San Isidro festivities; summer, the terraces and green spaces of El Retiro; autumn, colour in the parks, museums and jazz; winter, Christmas lights, markets and the San Silvestre Vallecana. Readers can explore the full guide on Madrid Tourism’s seasons page.

What comes next

For WCGC licensees, players and partners, the World Final was the beginning of the conversation rather than its end. Madrid remains open to welcoming the community, whether for business, golf or both.
