The team from MIMIS Group of Companies Benigno Mimis and Sailesh Chudasama won the maiden World Corporate Golf Challenge Ghana Final organized by the International Chamber of Commerce Ghana and media partners Business and Financial Times, GTV Sports, Multimedia Broadcasting and Multi TV sports at the Celebrity Golf Club, Sakumono.
They won with a score of 44 points The runners up was the team from Map Shipping; Mark Peverett and Stephan O’Kennedy with a score of 42 points Other award winners include Roger Adamah of Goldfieds Ghana Ltd for closest to the pin for men, Mariatu Bah of Regimanuel Gray Ltd for closest to the pin for women, longest drive for men Geoffrey Avonyotse of Equity Brokers, longest drive for women Afua Konadu of Daily Water .
The lead sponsor of the tournament Kruger Brent presented the winning trophy and the ticket to the World Finals at the Oitavos Dunes in Cascais Portugal from the 21st – 25th of June. Other competing companies include Stanbic Bank, GN Bank, USAID, GRIMALDI, Equity Brokers, Crocodile Matchet, J. M. The Ghana Finals was played at the Celebrity Golf Club with two golfers representing each company in a stableford shot gun format on 18 hole.
The winners qualify to represent Ghana at the world event to be staged at the Oitavos Dunes, Cascais (A 5 star golf facility) in Portugal from the 21st – 25th June 2017. The World Final takes place over 5 nights, 4 days providing guests with an action packed programme filled with tournament play (World Finals, VIP Corporate Cup and Licensee Cup), social events, official licensee conference, local excursions and endless business networking opportunities.
