WCGC Portugal 2024: From March to July, this esteemed national edition of the World Corporate Golf Challenge will unfold across the scenic landscapes of Portugal. The victorious national company from this round will earn the esteemed chance to vie for the world champion title at the world’s grandest business golf event, featuring participants from over 30 countries. The triumphant golfers will be granted the prestigious opportunity to attend the October World Final in Mission Hills, China, showdown.
From Sesimbra to Mission Hills: Portugal’s Road to the WCGC World Final
The WCGC Portugal 2024 Edition kicks off the circuit in Sesimbra on the 15th, 16th and 17th of March. The starting point of the 2024 World Golf Championship for companies will take place at the Quinta de Perú golf course. This space has already hosted the PGA National Championship of Portugal in 2021 and some Challenge Tour tournaments. This year, it will host three stages of the largest corporate tournament in the world, once again, with the support and trust of the Municipality of Sesimbra.
In April, the destination of the stages will be the Santo da Serra Golf Club, the stunning stage of the Madeira Islands Open of the European Tour between 1993 and 2015. In June, we head to the north of the country, to Ponte de Lima, to determine the last finalists who will compete in the national final in Óbidos, with the support of the Municipality of Óbidos.
The Praia D’El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort hotel and golf course will host this national final, and the players will be challenged by the course, designed by architect Cabell B. Robinson, which is usually the stage for national and international competitions and has hosted events of the Ladies European Tour and European Seniors Tour. The sports competition will be a constant challenge, and the winning company will have a unique experience at the World Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge.
The big news of the 31st edition of the World Corporate Golf Challenge is the stage for the World Final, which will be held in Haikou, China, from October 28 to November 1, 2024. The selection of Haikou as the host city for the World Finals reflects this prestigious event’s ongoing commitment to excellence and global expansion. The World Corporate Golf Challenge was born in 1993, and its growth has been exponential.
